Quotable Couplet: Urdu poetry on hope, optimism and wishing for a better future
This couplet is a two line Urdu 'shair' on hope.
EXPLANATION:
It tells the world about being hopeful, that we know we did our work honestly and knowing that what we have done, will pave way for better things to come, even after us, is the message of the couplet.
It urges man to do constructive work, do his or her bit towards the society and let the people behind, come forward later and have them enjoy the success, bask in the light.

Hamein khabar hai ki ham hain chiraaGh-aakhir-e-shab
Hamaare baad andhera nahi, ujaala hai
ہمیں خبر ہے کہ ہم ہیں چراغ آخر شب
ہمارے بعد اندھیرا نہیں، اجالا ہے
हमें खबर है कि हम हैं चराग़-ए-आख़िर-ए-शब
हमारे बाद अंधेरा नहीं उजाला है
We know we are the lamps of the last night
After us, there is no darkness, but light and just light
