यहां मज़लूम जब मुंह खोलता है 

सभी को शिकवा, 'क्यूँ ये बोलता है?'

क्यूँ ये शोर करता, चीखता है 

क्यों ये पोल उनकी खोलता है 

करे बर्दाश्त ख़ाम'शी से सब कुछ 

ये हिम्मत! क़ैद में पर तौलता है

है हाकिम को यही तकलीफ उस से 

कि सिंहासन इसी से डोलता है

Kyun ye shor karta aur cheekhta hai

Kyun ye pol unki kholta hai

Kare bardasht kham'shi se sab kuch

Hai Hakim ko yahi taklif usse

Ki sinhasan isee se Dolta hai
